teff Future Education Festival
The teff Future Education Festival #FEFestival is a Europe-wide celebration of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking in teacher education. Spread across all partner institutions of the Erasmus+ Teacher Academy Teacher Education for a Future in Flux (teff), the festival brings together
- pre-service teachers (= students studying to become teachers)
- in-service teachers (= teachers currently teaching at schools)
- teacher educators (= e.g. university lecturers, Ministry of Education staff, textbook publishers),
and all others passionate about shaping the future of education in Europe!
Designed as a dynamic mix of smaller and bigger events, the festival invites participants to explore the major challenges and opportunities facing European education today - across borders, across roles, and across learning formats!
What to expect
The #FEFestival includes a continuously growing constellation of activities (check out the programme below!) which are all free of charge (even possible travel and accommodation costs may be covered by specific teff partners; details will be available from the responsible coordinators listed here).
What makes the festival special
The teff Future Education Festival is not just a collection of events — it is a truly European learning experience. Participants collaborate internationally, work across professional roles, and engage with peers who share a commitment to transforming and strengthening education in Europe. Together, we explore pressing issues, test new ideas, and imagine what teaching and teacher education can become in a future marked by change.
Join us and help shape the educational landscape of tomorrow!
Your digital “#FEFestival Passport”
Whenever you attend a #FEFestival activity or event, you will receive a digital (.jpeg)-“stamp” as a proof of attendance. If you like, you can collect these stamps and copy-paste them into your digital “Festival Passport” which you can download here.
Use your stamps or your festival passport to showcase how actively you’ve engaged, learned, and contributed to shaping the future of education (e.g. to future employers). Celebrate your achievements on social media – don’t forget to use #teff and #FEFestival, and tag teff on LinkedIn and Instagram!"

Mar 25-26: teff Conference - Every Voice Matters: Diversity in Schools and Teacher Education (on-site)
In classrooms across Europe, diversity is not the exception — it is the reality. Students and teachers bring with them a wide range of languages, cultural backgrounds, identities, abilities, and lived experiences. When every voice is recognised and valued, schools become places of belonging, learning, and growth for all. But how can education systems ensure that diversity is meaningfully embraced in both schools and teacher education?
This conference brings together educators, student teachers, teacher educators, school leaders, policymakers, and researchers to explore a shared challenge: How do we create learning environments where every voice truly matters?
Many voices, many perspectives! Join us for an inspiring exchange of ideas, practices, and research that highlight inclusive approaches, amplify underrepresented voices, and strengthen diversity awareness in schools and teacher education across Europe.
Please find more information on the programme & register on the conference website here until March 8, 2026!

April 14 - 16: Staff Training Week @Kalmar, Sweden - Dealing with controversy in the classroom (on-site)
Staff training week 14-16th of April 2026, Kalmar, Sweden
Dealing with controversy in the classroom*
*This event is funded with support from the Erasmus+ project BAGSKOL: https://bagskol.hypotheses.org/
When: 14-16 of April 2026
Target group: Teacher educators at Higher Education Institutions (HEI)
Where: Linnaeus University, Kalmar, Sweden.
What: In today’s increasingly diverse and interconnected societies, teaching in culturally heterogeneous classrooms has become a defining aspect of professional practice for educators across Europe and beyond. This complexity, however, also presents significant pedagogical and ethical challenges, particularly when addressing sensitive topics such as racism, gender roles, religious expression, heteronormativity and normative assumptions.
Our staff training workshop aims to address this gap through international collaboration, drawing on a variety of disciplinary perspectives to better understand and respond to culturally complex teaching contexts. We invite teacher educators from HEIs in different countries to join us in a three days’ workshop aiming to prepare them in preparing students teachers to face classrooms challenges. The programme will offer a mix of lectures, discussions, workshops and joint analyses of teaching strategies with a focus on case study methodology and the sharing of experiences.
Application: Please apply until February 01, 2026 at the latest using this application form. We will then get back to you to tell you if you have been selected for participation. There are about 20 places available.
